• 8pm Zombieland (Fleischer 09)

One of the most entertaining films of the year this evening as our heroes try to drive across a post-apocalyptic America, known as Zombieland. Although very much in the zombie genre, this is more Shaun of the Dead than Night of the Living Dead, and the cracking script zips along with great performances from Woody Harrelson as a bourbon-drinking redneck, and Jesse Eisenberg (last seen in the excellent Adventureland here a few weeks ago) as a nerdy kid. No real satirical edge and rather ridiculous, but up there with The Hangover as one of the funniest films of the year. Recommended.
